Join me for a weekend long retreat where you will learn all about the art of tea blending in my on farm workshop. Packed full of practical knowledge on blending your own tea’s whether you are blending for pleasure at home or starting a tea business, this will give you the confidence to develop your own tea blending practice.
We’ll cover delicious recipes for herbal blend teas which include flowers, herbs, spices and fruits. Practical information on safe herbs to use, blending, brewing and storing botanicals, tea’s for ailments, relaxation and uplifting the spirits.
Arrive on Friday and settle in. Explore the gardens and farm before a delicious home cooked evening meal.
Saturday after a delicious breakfast we’ll head down to the workshop and start to explore the different teas, blending herbs and botanicals, how they are made, how best to enjoy them and their benefits. Next we will sample a range of tea blends, browse through blend recipes and formulate a recipe of your own.
After lunch we will blend our teas either using the recipes I created or your own blend creation, after sampling our blends I will give a practical talk on how I got started and why, how I manage my tea business, blending at home, benefits of herbal teas, where to source the finest ingredients and much more before ending with questions.
Home baked cream tea’s will be served after the afternoon session
Saturday evening we’ll enjoy a delicious home cooked meal before relaxing in the sitting room in front of the open fire or log burner in the snug or if the weather permits stargazing round the fire pit.
Sunday starts with a delicious breakfast and time to wander the gardens, meet the animals and take in the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful countryside.
We end our weekend with a hearty homemade lunch.

Included: Accommodation and all meals, home baked snacks a plenty, tea, coffee and fresh milk in each room and available anytime throughout your stay. Wifi throughout.
Each guest will take away three of their own blend creations, as well as comprehensive notes on the everything we covered over the weekend.
To bring: Please bring a pen, notepad, suitable shoes for walks around the farm and gardens and plenty of layers Scotland can be cool and rainy, even in midsummer!.
Please note: the retreat is held on a working farm with lots of free-range animals, the farm yard is to the rear of the property, if you would prefer not to meet the animals there is never any need however, if you would like to see the farm and animals I am happy to show you round and introduce you.
We also have well behaved pet and working dogs, our dogs are not permitted in the main house for our guests comfort, you may however hear the odd bark or see the pack out for a walk.
