Dining is in our traditional Scottish estate country house built around 1700 with a beautiful sandstone front, full of character and original features. Surrounded by large beautiful gardens and 40 acre of privately-owned stunning Galloway countryside and woodland.

Situated in a private tranquil location away from the quiet country road the only things to be heard are beautiful bird song, breeze rustling through the trees and perhaps the lambs bleating for their mother.

You are welcome to relax and enjoy our well stocked and maintained gardens, sit on the patio under the lit pagoda, take in the peace and tranquillity by the fire pit and enjoy stunning views across the valley, enjoy the bird song under the beautiful ancient copper beech tree or enjoy the cosy greenroom – our specially converted greenhouse for cooler, wetter days.

Several Red Kites glide over and sit in our trees every day, there is an abundance of bird and wild life often found in the gardens and fields that surround us including deer and red squirrels. Foxes can often be heard barking at dusk and badgers regularly meander on our driveway.

We are also a working smallholding and private very friendly and relaxed equestrian yard, we keep a small herd of Dexter cattle, small flock of Ryeland and mule ewes, pet pygmy goats, pet kune kune pigs, various chickens and geese and a herd of ponies, horses and donkeys.
