Berry Basil Smoothie
Smoothies are the go-to drink for a quick boost of guaranteed nutrition.
A refreshing combination of powerful, nutrition packed berries with basil that is delicious and incredibly nutritious. Basil is full of antioxidants and phytonutrients and has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
DELICIOUS BERRY basil SMOOTHIE
Total time: 2 minutes
- 400ml Water or if you prefer you can use good quality fresh orange or apple juice
- 1 heaped tablespoon natural or Greek yogurt
- 100g frozen mixed berries
- 5 fresh basil leaves (about 1 inch long leaves)
- 1 heaped tablespoon chia seeds
- 6 ice cubes
Optional: A teaspoon of honey to taste if needed for sweetness
Method: Blend in a blender or smoothie maker until smooth and enjoy.
A handful of raw organic spinach is also wonderful in this smoothie if you have any on hand.
