Hi! I'm Erica
Through my unique retreats, online training courses and holistic selfcare I help people like you dream big and back it up with meaningful action to create results.
One of the things I get asked often is “How on Earth did you get started in all this?”
I have always been passionate about a multitude of seemingly unconnected things: Writing, farming, animals, psychology, hospitality, gardening, entrepreneurship, spirituality, philosophy, nature, just to name a few.
After the move came the chickens, sheep, the garden, goats, pigs, beef cows, three wild, free range children, a bigger garden, and well, here I am, twenty years later
As the years have gone on and I’ve started a multitude of different businesses I was called the “Multi-Passionate Entrepreneur” because I just didn’t – and never will – fit into a conventional box.
I’ve lived 100% debt-free and I strive for that again, homeschooled my two daughters, and found myself creating a life we could only have dreamed of.
If you’ve stumbled across The Woman That Farms looking for advice on how to cook from scratch, grow your own food, keep chickens and livestock, or how to make a living from home, Welcome - you’re in the right place.
I’ve devoted the last twenty years to creating a wholesome, fulfilling, abundant sustainable way of life now I love to share my experiences with others through real life stories from my small farm in Scotland.
I bought and moved to my small farm almost 7 years ago and live here with my youngest daughter Molly and our menagerie of animals. We grow as much of our food as possible, organically, in the vast gardens and expand on our growing area every year.
I own and run multiple rural businesses all started from scratch and run from the farm, I love nothing more than to share my expertise and experience in my online courses and retreats, it gives me the greatest pleasure to welcome my guests to stay, serve the finest food homemade from homegrown or locally sourced produce and for them to leave feeling inspired and invigorated.
We’d love to welcome you to our small peaceful farm bursting with an abundance of wildlife, flora fauna and birdlife. Please contact me if you are interested in visiting.
Thank you so much for stopping by
